Limited addition "SPASSKY-FISCHER" Sterling silver and silver gilt chess set , by Cy Endfield, circa 1972

The pieces interlock to form two cylinders, maker's mark "C. E", London, 1972, the king 4cm high, the pawn 2cm high Cy Endfield.

The director of the film, Zulu designed this chess set to commemorate the dramatic Fischer-Spassky contest at Reykjavik in 1972.

Design of the pawns was attributed by Cy Endfield to the sculptor, Charles Perry.

Comes with FIDE (F�d�ration Internationale des Echecs) 1972 medallion
