S242 : Very Fine Vintage Central European Carved Figural Chess Set

Kings are 11.5cms tall. Earlier 20th century, probably carved in Germany or Austria.

The pawns are charming with individual poses, some of my favorites include the farmer carrying the pig and the builder with a ladder and rope.
