Very rare form Anri chess set, all the pieces are finely modeled down to their toes. Comes with original fitted hardwood case.
This set was designed by C.&M. Caron as designed by the silver plaque inside the box lid.
The knights are wonderful riders on donkeys mid stride. The pawns are holding steel drums. Set is full of character, the nicest Anri set we have ever had, the chess piece bases are weighted internally for stability.
