S237: Rare Mid Century Pierre Cardin Space Age chess set in Brass and Pewter
Very nice set good patina. The "P" shape of the knights is typical for the Pierre Cardin logo.
Pierre Cardin (1922–2020), was an Italian born, French-raised designer. He is known for his space age designs.
He founded his fashion house in 1950 and introduced the "bubble dress" in 1954. Set weights 3.3kgs, kings 7.5cms tall.
